Filling Out The Bracket:

After you download the bracket, fill out each spot by selecting each team you think will win via the drop-down list. Do not forget to select a champion.

In case a team is left blank, that will count as an incorrect guess. If there are any inconsistencies in the bracket (for example, Kansas is selected to lose in the first round but is then selected to win in the second round, you will still be given points for Kansas even if they win in the second round.)

At the bottom of the bracket, be sure to fill in your first and last name, city and state, gender, along with your e-mail address. If you do not have an e-mail address, please use your phone number. If you want to, you may also include your phone number and e-mail address but the e-mail address is the more important of the two.

Make sure you save your bracket if you fill it out on the computer. Click on "Save As" and save the file as: FirstnameLastnameNCAA.xls If you wish to play more than one entry, no problem. Just make sure you label each entry, so I can tell the difference between the two. (Ex: JoeSchmoe1, JoeSchmoe2) Then e-mail to eddy@eddyb.com or turn in your brackets via mail or in person.

Blowout Bucks

There is an optional box in the lower right-hand corner of the bracket titled, "Blow Out Bucks". This is a free and optional bonus for all Pool Entrants. In this box, you will choose which team will have the biggest blow out victory starting in the second round on (games from the first round do not count). As a tie-breaker, you will also select the amount of points the blowout will be by. The winner gets $10. If there is a tie, the tie will go to the person who correctly picked the NCAA champion. The second tie-breaker goes to the person who has the highest percentage of correct picks. The third and final tie-breaker before it goes to a split, is whoever scored the most overall points in the pool. If no person correctly guesses the Biggest Blow Out team, the money will be split into another prize as listed on the prizes page.

Power Play Pot

For all entrants who puts in 4 or more paid entries, $5 will be taken from their total entry and added into a "Power Play Pool". All power play entrants will have a separate sidepot which goes to the person who scores the most. For example, if Barry Bonds puts in 6 entries at $30 total. Since it was more than 4, $5 from his $30 will be entered into the Power Play Pool.

Determining the Winner:

The winner with the most points after the championship game is over is determined the winner. If there happens to be a tie-breaker for 1st, then it will be determined in order of the following situations:

1.) Person to pick the correct champion is the first tie-breaker
2.) Highest Percentage of Correct Picks
3.) Most correct teams chosen in the Final Four
4.) Most correct teams chosen in the Elite Eight
5.) Most correct teams chosen in the Sweet Sixteen
6.) Most correct picks in the 2nd Round
7.) Most correct picks in the 1st Round
8.) Coin Flip
9.) Fight to the death

Tie-breakers will not be done for any other spots. If there is a tie for 2nd and 3rd, they will split both payouts.
