Determining The Winners or Tie-Breakers
The winner with the most points after the championship
game is over is determined the winner. If there happens
to be a tie-breaker for 1st, then it will be determined
in order of the following situations:
1.) Person to pick the correct champion is the first
tie-breaker
2.) Highest Percentage of Correct Picks
3.) Most correct picks in the Round of 64
4.) Most correct combined picks in the 2nd round-Final Four
Tie-breakers will not be done for any other spots for payment. If
there is a tie for 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, they will split payment. Tie-breakers will only be done for historical standings purposes.
Payouts
At least the Top 5 finishers will be paid out the remaining payout pool once props and powerplay have been taken out. Last year's payout for first place was over $500
Extra Ways To Make Money
Tie-Breakers above apply for any of these prop awards
Referral Rewards
"Rookies" are a first time entry to ebTalk. Each entry will have a referral box. If you have a rookie referral, have them put your name in the referral box and you can earn an extra chance to win as long as they have paid by March 22nd!
Referral Rewards Eligibility
For every four Rookie brackets you refer, you will earn a paid entry to Overtime!
Please note, your referred rookies must be paid up by March 24th at noon to count towards Referral Rewards.
Rookie Rewards
The highest placing Rookie will win their entry fee back. To be a Rookie, this must be your first time entering into the ebTalk NCAA Tournament Pool and they must be paid by March 22nd at noon.
Powerplay Pot
For all entrants who puts in 4 or more paid entries, $5 will be taken from their total entry and added
into a "Power Play Pool". All power play entrants
will have a separate sidepot which goes to the top two people who score the most points. For example, if Blake Griffin
puts in 6 entries at $30 total. Since it was more than
4, $5 from his $30 will be entered into the Power Play
Pool. All of his entries will be eligible for that sidepot.
For every four entries you turn an, you will receive a paid OVERTIME! entry.
Top Female Scorer
The top female scorer will receive an additional $15 cash prize that doesn't place in the Top 3.
Couple Up
Completely optional if you wish to play. This new little sidepot called "Couple Up", puts you with another person of the opposite sex. It could be your significant other, parent, sibling, your call.
When you fill out your bracket, there will be an option for "Couple Up", fill in your partner's name if you have one. We will take your bracket score (highest score if you have multiple brackets), add your partners best bracket score. The couple with the highest combined score wins a cool $50.
Only rule is your "Couple Up" partner has to be of the opposite sex. So encourage your spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, mother/father to get in on the fun with you and give yourself more brackets to root for!
Anchor Award
Do you have what it takes to earn the lowest score? Lowest score in this year's tournament pool will be paid out their entire bracket entry! If the record for the lowest score ever is broken, that person will win 150% of their entry back.

is the newest way to play through ebTalk. Just when you think you're out, you can still participate and enjoy the tournament.
